The classic daisy cocktail, essentially a sour that is sweetened with liqueur, is truly a delightful drink. There are all kinds of famous variations, but the daisy is so versatile that it lends itself to a practically endless array of incredibly enticing interpretations. And this bourbon daisy is no exception. In this rendition of the classic, a splash of peach simple syrup brings the unmistakeable flavor and fragrance of perfectly ripe peaches to a nutty bourbon base. Peach kissed, well-balanced, and smooth, this enchanting bourbon daisy is a particularly lovely refreshment during the late summer and early autumn.

Although you can certainly use plain simple syrup here, peach simple syrup pairs delightfully with the bourbon and brings a captivating fruity fragrance to this cocktail.

Hint: If you don't have a ripe peach on hand (or the time to prepare a batch of peach simple syrup), you can certainly substitute plain simple syrup for the peach variety and just garnish the cocktail with mint.
