Bourbon Daisy

The classic daisy cocktail, essentially a sour that is sweetened with liqueur, is truly a delightful drink. In this rendition of the classic, a splash of peach simple syrup brings the unmistakeable flavor and fragrance of perfectly ripe peaches to a nutty bourbon base. Peach kissed, well-balanced, and smooth, this enchanting bourbon daisy is a particularly lovely refreshment during the late summer and early autumn.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • ¾ ounce cointreau
  • ¾ ounce lemon juice
  • ½ ounce peach simple syrup
  • fresh mint sprig and peach slice (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, Cointreau, lemon juice, and peach simple syrup.
  • Toss in some ice and shake until very cold. 
  • Strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a mint sprig and peach slice. Serve immediately.
