This maple glazed salmon is a satisfying weeknight dinner standby, especially during the colder months. The comforting sweetness of maple syrup pairs fabulously with soy, garlic, and ginger. And it's incredibly quick and easy to prepare. Served over a cozy bed of rice or creamy mashed potatoes, this maple kissed fish makes a perfect autumn or winter main dish.

If you're looking for a cocktail to enjoy before your maple glazed salmon, I recommend a Nordic Negroni or an Applejack Rabbit.

Instructions for Maple Glazed Salmon

Set an oven rack about 6 to 8 inches below the broiler and preheat. In the meantime, whisk together the maple syrup, soy sauce (or tamari), garlic, and ginger until the glaze is well combined. Set half of the glaze mixture aside in a separate bowl (for spooning over the fish when served).

Arrange the salmon fillets on a rimmed baking sheet lined with foil. Season them with salt and pepper.

Then brush half of the glaze evenly over the fish.

When the broiler is ready, cook for about 7 to 10 minutes, or just until the salmon is flaky and opaque throughout.

Serve the salmon with some reserved glaze spooned over the top.
Hint: When it comes to accompaniments for maple glazed salmon, I recommend either basmati rice or creamy mashed potatoes. You'll definitely want some starch to soak up all that glorious maple glaze!
Equipment
You will need a large rimmed baking sheet (or a large shallow baking dish) for roasting the salmon.
