When the daffodils start to appear and those little April showers begin to drip, drip, drop, it's a particularly good time to add something a little floral to your cocktail shaker. Cue the elderflower martini...essentially just an enhanced take on the classic, but one taken to ambrosial new heights through the alchemy of elderflower and lemon. Anyone who enjoys the flavor of St. Germain will certainly appreciate this simple, and utterly irresistible, elderflower cocktail. Perfect for springtime celebrations and sunny special occasions, this version balances just the right amount of floral sweetness with the bright tartness of lemon.
Although the elderflower martini feels especially appropriate on a springtime table, it is thoroughly enjoyable just about anytime of year.
Ingredients for the Elderflower Martini

Variations
- The Gin - The Botanist is a lovely choice for this martini...but I'm betting your favorite brand of gin will work here, too.
- The Elderflower Liqueur - For a less boozy version, you could certainly substitute elderflower syrup.
- The Vermouth - Blanc vermouth might be an interesting variation on the dry.
